You might have to find a different place to park in Okotoks today, Thursday Jan. 18, if you're heading downtown.
The Town of Okotoks has issued a parking ban, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., so they can focus on their snow clearing efforts.
Clark Avenue from Mcrae Street to Elma Street East, Elma Street East from Clark Ave to Veterans Way, Elma Street West from Veterans Way to Elk Avene, Elma Street West from Elk Avenue to Northridge Drive, and Elk Avenue from Elizabeth Street to Elma Street West will all be affected by the parking ban.
According to a town bylaw, all vehicles must be removed from the streets with parking bans.
While the town is encouraging the public to find alternative routes and places to park, these parking bans won't interfere with waste collection, mail delivery, and emergency services.
These bans were originally set for Jan. 15 but were rescheduled.
