An Okotoks man facing charges from a shooting in May recently appeared in court.

The incident took place in a Sheep River Court home on May 1, where a 56-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound.

Officers arrested 26-year-old Kaden Clouston at the scene, and he now faces several charges:

  • Discharge a firearm with intent
  • Aggravated assault
  • Careless use of a firearm
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Pointing a firearm
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm (x3)
  • Possession of a restricted firearm without license (x2)
  • Intentional discharge of a firearm

Clouston appeared in Okotoks Provincial Court on July 5, where a date was set for his bail hearing.

He'll be back in court on the morning of August 1 for elections and pleas.
