The AJHL Okotoks Oilers split their home games over the weekend.

They were in a tough spot against the Spruce Grove Saints on Friday night.

The Saints ended up winning 3-1 with Oilers Sam Huck netting the only goal for the Oil. It was his 10th goal of the season with netminder Alex Scheiwiller stopping 23 of the 26 shots for the loss.

It was a different story though on Saturday night when the Oilers hosted the Bonnyville Pontiacs. The Oilers skated away with a 4-1 win in front of another 1000-plus crowd at the Centennial Arena. Goals came from four different players including Sam Huck netting his 11th as Christian Green got the win in net stopping 22 of 23 shots he faced.

The Oilers now get set for a three-game road trip including a rematch with the Pontiacs in Bonnyville this Friday and then the travel to Lloydminster to take on the Bobcats this Saturday and Sunday.
