The Carstar Okotoks Bisons cleaned up over the weekend with a pair of wins and have only lost one game so far this season in the HJHL.

The Herd came to play at the Bob Snodgrass Rec Plex in High River on Friday night as they beat the High River Brewing Co. Flyers 6-1.

The Bisons peppered Flyers netminder Kashton Payne with 46 shots over the course of the game with the Flyers responding with 25 shots.

There were also quite a few penalties handed out including two checking to the head penalties handed out to the Bisons.

The rest of the weekend proved profitable for the Bisons, not so much for the Flyers. The Bisons hopped on the bus and headed to Medicine Hat for a Saturday night game against the Cubs with the Bisons picking up an easy two points with a 7-1 win. They also fired off a lot of shots on net with 47 by the time the game was over.

The High River Flyers on the other hand were handed a heartbreaking loss in Cochrane Sunday afternoon. 7-6 was the final score in favour of the Generals. There were also a couple of checking to the head penalties in this matchup too. Parker Forrest got the start for the Flyers stopping 25 of the 32 shots he faced in the loss.

The Bisons next game is this Friday as they host the Strathmore Wheatland Kings while the Flyers host the Coaldale Copperheads.
