The Okotoks Oilers split another weekend of games but certainly gave the hometown crowd a lot to cheer for.

Sam Huck had the crowd on their feet on Friday night as he netted a pair and also assisted on two for a four-point game.

Christian Green backstopped the AJHL Oilers with 20 saves for the win.

Then the Brooks Bandits came to town on Saturday.

The always-tough Bandits skated away with a 5-3 win after a seesaw turn of goals for the victory. The Bandits held a 2-0 lead in the 1st period before the Oilers would respond to tie up the game heading into the intermission. The Oilers would score next, taking a 3-2 lead, however, the Bandits would score the equalizer and then add another before the third period. And it was the Bandits scoring an empty netter with less than two minutes to play to seal the win.

The Oilers now hit the road for a pair of games this upcoming weekend.
