Zak Madell wears the red and white at Parapan American Games

Okotoks is again well-represented on the international sports stage.

Zak Madell is representing Canada in wheelchair rugby at the Parapan-American Games in Santiago Chile

So far, the Canadians have defeated Brazil, Chile and Argentina, 

In their opening game, Canada beat Argentina 63-30 with Madell having 17 tries and three steals in just over 13 minutes on the floor.

Sunday, they beat Brazil 62-41. Madell had 13 tries and four steals in just under 12 minutes on the floor.

On Monday, Madell had only two minutes on the floor and scored two tries in Canada's 60-27 win over the host team from Chile.

Canada goes up against the U.S. on Tuesday.
