Wow, can you believe it's already October 1st!?

I know a lot of people are ready to get spooky season started (I'm one of those people) but let's not forget about the season of giving thanks!

Thanksgiving weekend is literally a week away and many of us are running around trying to figure out how we're going to host family and friends (if you even can with some of these restrictions in place) how many pies you have to bake, what football game you're going to watch...you know the usual Thanksgiving things.

But, a lot of families within our community are also worrying about how they're even going to provide a traditional meal for their family this year.

We don't want anyone worrying about that so if you're in a position to give back and would like to see everyone have a delicious Thanksgiving dinner on their table next weekend here are a couple of ways you can help:

1. MyCityCare Okotoks Thankfull Boxes

Our friend, Katie Burrell, from MyCityCare Okotoks tells us exactly what the Thankfull boxes consist of:

If you'd like to register for a box there are no qualifications, anyone in the Okotoks/Foothills who is in need of a holiday dinner is able to sign up HERE.

But heads up! Registration must be done by Monday, (Oct.4).

When it comes to donating food items, Katie has the details:

The dinners will be sent out on Wednesday, (Oct. 6) and if you'd like to sponsor a box for $30 click HERE.

2. Okotoks Food Bank Thanksgiving Hampers

The lovely, Pamela McLean, executive director of the Okotoks Food Bank, shares with us how they're supporting families this Thanksgiving:

Registration did close on the 30th for clients BUT you can still donate to make sure all families get what they need this weekend.

When asked what's the best way to donate this was Pamela's answer:

If you'd like to donate click HERE.

Thanks for being thankful and giving this Thanksgiving! =)
