Almost 900 participants took to Foothills highways on the weekend in the Enbridge Tour of Alberta For Cancer, cheered at the starting and finish lines at the Calgary Polo Club near De Winton.

The ride to raise money for cancer research was back after two years of cancelled events and virtual rides.

Riders got a great workout and some breathtaking views of the foothills peddling through Okotoks, Black Diamond, Turner Valley and Millarville.

They've raised $3.6-million dollars on their way to a goal of $4-million.

For the last 14 years, the tour has supported local cancer research, clinical trials, enhanced care and the discovery of new cancer therapies at the Tom Baker, Cross Cancer Institute and 15 other centres across Alberta.
