The Last of Us season two won't be filmed in Alberta

The HBO huge hit 'The Last of Us' won't be returning to Alberta to film season two.

The debut season was filmed throughout Alberta spending millions of dollars in the process, but it looks like season two will be filmed in Vancouver and area.

Vancouver Mayor Ken Sims is thrilled.

This is huge.

The biggest show on television today will be moving its production to Vancouver for their next season.

This is yet another sign of the strength of Vancouver’s film and television sector.

The inaugural season was filmed in and around High River, Okotoks, Kananaskis Country, Nanton, Fort Macleod, Calgary and Edmonton amongst others.

HBO has not made any official announcement.
