It's free again this Canada Day to go to any National Park or Historic Site across the country.

Parks Canada has once again opened the doors to visitors for free on Canada's birthday.

In Alberta, that means the Bar U Ranch National Historic Site will be free as well as Banff and Jasper National Parks.

The same goes for Waterton Lakes if you decide to travel south. If you head north Elk Island and Wood Buffalo National Parks will be free.

If your long weekend travel plans include British Columbia, then Yoho and Kootenay National Parks are the closest parks that offer free entry.
