The Okotoks Oilers made some trades this week as they get set for the regular season.

The Oilers regular season kicks off this weekend in a home-and-home series against the Canmore Eagles.

Game one is in Canmore Friday night, and you can listen to the game starting at 6:45 p.m. with the pre-game show followed by puck drop at 7:00.

All the play-by-play for Away games this season will once again be broadcast on The Eagle 100.9 and streamed on Okotoks Online

Then the Oilers welcome the Eagles to the Centennial Arena Saturday night for their season home opener.

The Oilers will be revealing the entire new lineup in a ceremony prior to the game. They did just make some trades this week too.

Forward Ryan Neumann, defenceman Jace Moffatt and goaltender Cameron Doucette were traded to the Drayton Valley Thunder for a pair of forwards Hayden Fechner and Jack Silverberg.

Fechner is 18 years old who played the last two seasons with the Thunder while Silverberg, also 18 notched 34 points in 44 games last season.

The Oilers traded the rights to Raine Hodge to the La Ronge Ice Wolves of the SJHL in exchange for future considerations.

And there's something extra special for Green Army fans tomorrow night. Tom's House of Pizza will be handing out free pizza starting around 6 p.m. with game time set for 7 o'clock.  There are still tickets available
