We're into the month of December, when hockey really starts to get serious.

The AJHL's Okotoks Oilers are currently fourth in the league with 38 points.

They'll play host to the Bonnyville Pontiacs at the Centennial Arena tonight with puck drop set for 7:00 p.m.

The Pontiacs are seventh in the league, just six points back of Okotoks.

On Saturday, the Fort McMurray Oil Barons come to town for a 7:00 p.m. start.

Fort Mac is near the bottom of the standings with 21 points.

The Oilers play the final game of their five-game home stand next Friday, a tough test when the top team in the league, the Brooks Bandits, are in town.
