An Okotoks Oiler forward has been named the Pizza 73 AJHL Player of the Week.

Owen MacNeil had eight points, including one goal and seven assists in three Oiler wins from November 20-26.

He opened the scoring on Friday, November 24 against the Olds Grizzlys scoring what turned out to be the winning goal in a 7-0 shutout.

It was MacNeil's third consecutive three-point game with a goal and three assists.

He added two assists in a 5-4 overtime win over the second-place Sherwood Park Crusaders on November 25 and earned the Viterra AJHL Player of the Game award.
