Veteran goaltender Jack McNaughton (Calgary, AB) stopped all 20 shots he faced, as the Okotoks Oilers (10-14-1) snapped a four-game losing streak, and eight-game skid at home, with a convincing 4-0 victory over the visiting Olds Grizzlys on Saturday night.

With the win, the Oilers move back into fourth place in the AJHL South division, one point up on Blackfalds and Canmore but with those teams having three and one game in hand respectively.

Bowden Singleton (Calgary, AB) sniped a high wrist shot from the left side on the power play 12:33 into the game to open the scoring, and Ty Yoder (Tofield, AB) scored on a backhand wraparound at 16:37 to complete a 2-for-2 man advantage and give Okotoks a 2-0 lead after 1.

Tucker McRae (Calgary, AB) scored the only goal of the second, firing a wrist shot off the back bar and in at 16:51 off the rush for a 3-0 advantage.

In the third, Sam Moshurchak (Calgary, AB) scored on a wrist shot off the rush as well for a 4-0 final score.

Okotoks outshot Olds 22-20 in the game, going 2 for 3 on the power play and a perfect 4 for 4 on the penalty kill.

The Oilers will hit the road next week for a three-game northern swing, starting in Grande Prairie on Friday night.

The game can be heard on The Eagle 100.9 starting at 6:45 p.m.
