Today was the Natural High Charity Triathlon. There were two unique things about this triathlon. First, they were fundraising to raise money for KidsSport Okotoks, which helps get kids off the sidelines and into organized sports. Second, it is the only open-water triathlon in the foothills. All the contrstants were excited about the open-water aspect, and said it was way better then the pool.

There was something for everyone at this triathlon, there was sprint distances, tri-it distance options and also kids races too. So whether the contestant was over 70 or under 3 years of age, they all took part!

The winners for the sprint distance was Joel Wilkinson for the men and Jada Hall for the women. They glided through the water, peddled like mad, and ran as fast as they could right through the finish line and pulled off first place.

As for the kids, they were divided up into age groups between 6-8 and 9-13, and they also did their very own triathlon. A few of these kids are no stranger to participating in triathlons, like Mathias and Ronan. These two brothers have participated in 5 triathlons this year already and were "stoked" to win first and second place respectively today in their race. We can't forget about the little ones either, kids under the age of 5 also ran a race of their own today, they were so cute, ran as fast as their little legs would carry them, and jumped across the finish line.

Today was a great day for the whole family, and many families took part in their individual categories and were there to cheer each other on.
