Home sales in Okotoks and High River continue to increase year-over-year.

In the Calgary Real Estate Board's August report, sales jumped 6.8 per cent in Okotoks and 8.2 per cent in High River from August of 2022.

In Okotoks, there were 59 sales in August while 65 new listings came on the scene, leaving inventory at a new low for the month and pushing up prices.

The total benchmark price of $582,000 remains seven per cent higher than last year's levels and 10 per cent higher than where we were at the start of the year.

The benchmark price for detached homes is $649,200.

In High River 31 homes were sold last month while the same number of new listings were posted.

The total residential benchmark price was $449,400 in August while the benchmark price for detached homes was $521,100.
