Learn to swim under the sun in Diamond Valley

The outdoor Dr. Lander Memorial Swimming pool will be available for water lovers again this year.

Not only that, but they are offering their outdoor swimming lessons again this year, so people can get tanned while they learn to do the backstroke.

Registration for swimming lessons begins on Thursday, April 18th for those who live in Foothills County and Diamond Valley, with registration opening for everyone else on April 25th.

They offer several lesson options, such as parents and tots, preschool, child and youth, and private one-on-one lessons.

To be able to register as a resident, make sure your Active Okotoks account has a DLM Family Resident Early Enrollment Pass.

If it doesn't, make sure to call the Okotoks Rec Centre at 403-938-8954 before registration day to get the Early Enrollment Pass activated.

It is anticipated that the pool will open on May 30th, weather and maintenance requirements permitting, and will remain open until the Labour Day Long Weekend, as long as the weather stays nice.
