Several Remembrance Day events will be held throughout the Foothills area on Saturday, November 11. 

In Diamond Valley, a ceremony will be held at Oilfields High School, beginning at 10:30 in the morning. Following the ceremony, a social will be held at the Turner Valley Legion Branch.

A ceremony will be held at the Nanton Cenotaph, where wreaths will be presented and placed. The ceremony will be also livestreamed to the Nanton Legion, Town of Nanton Facebook page, and Bomber Command Museum of Canada Facebook pages. The event starts at 10:55 a.m.

The Claresholm Legion Branch will be hosting a Remembrance Day service and Meat Draw. Doors open at 10 a.m. for the ceremony, and the meat draw happens at 3 p.m. There will also be duck races and a 50/50.

The Community Recreation Centre (CRC) in Vulcan, will be holding a ceremony from 10:30 a.m. to noon.
