Alberta Sheriffs recently took an impaired driver off the road near High River.

On Jan. 25, officers stopped a vehicle after they noticed it appeared to be missing its front driver's side wheel.

The vehicle must have been driven without a tire for some time, with images provided by Alberta Sheriffs showing significant damage to the wheel hub.

The driver failed a mandatory alcohol screening, took an Immediate Roadside Sanction appeal, and failed a second time.

According to a tweet from Alberta Sheriffs, "the driver was impaired and unaware of where he was or that he had blown a tire."
