Heartland is filming in Nanton this week.

While High River is well-known for being the site of many of Heartland's primary locations, Nanton will be joining the list of Southern Alberta filming locations for the long-running CBC show.

The town shared the news on their Facebook page, giving locals a heads-up that crews will be in town from July 12-14.

The post includes a breakdown of where the filming will take place in town, presumably provided by the show's production team:

July 12 and 13: "We will be setting up a few rooms in the Ranchland Inn. Then moving our trucks all in on the Thursday evening to be ready to film on Friday."

July 14: "We will start the day filming on the sidewalk on the north side of 20th street. We will then move to the Ranchland Inn. We will have a later start on Friday and crew will probably start showing up in town around 11:00 am. Our film day is approx. 11 hours. Once we are complete, we will pack up and move out. We hope to be cleared out by 1 am on Sat morning."

Crews are currently filming the show's seventeenth season and are expected to wrap in August.
