No gold for Canada and Zak Madell of Okotoks at the Parapan-American Games in Chile.

The U.S. got some early turnovers and intercepted a couple of errant passes to take a three-point lead at the half, extended it in the second half, and went on to win their gold medal match on Thursday 57- 51 over Canada in wheelchair rugby.

Madell had 36 tries to lead the Canadians, who settled for the silver medal at the games.

With the win, the U.S. automatically qualifies for the Para Olympics in Paris next year.

Brazil defeated Columbia 57-52 for the bronze medal.
