Looks like snow will blanket Southern Alberta with between 5 to 15 cm of snow on Monday into Tuesday.

Environment and Climate Change Canada issued a Special Weather Statement on Sunday morning just before 5 a.m.

While 2 to 5 cm of snow is expected in Central Alberta, they are calling for between 5 and 15 cm in Southern Alberta.

The higher levels of snowfall are expected along the eastern slopes of the Rockies and throughout Kananaskis Country.

Closer to the US-Canada border they are expected to get hit with rain, turning to snow by Tuesday night.

Driving conditions will be affected.
