To the sounds of bagpipes and synchronized clapping, they marched out! 

The opening ceremony happened Wednesday at 4:30, featuring local politicians R.J. Sigurdson and John Barlow, sponsors, and members of the massive Okotoks curling community.
The ceremonial first rock was thrown by Jean Quigley, and Olympic medallist Shannon Kleibrink read the Athlete's Creed. (for the full news story click HERE)
