Due to all the wildfire smoke from B.C. and northern Alberta another weather alerts been issued by Environment Canada.

The Special Air Quality Statement was issued overnight and even with rain in the forecast Tuesday and Wednesday it's expected to linger for another day or more.

Tuesday's high is only expected to hit 15 this afternoon with an overnight low of 8 and warming up to 23 tomorrow with smoke expecting to blow through by Thursday.

It's affecting people in High River, Okotoks and throughout the Foothills.

Environment Canada recommend anyone with breathing issues, such as asthma or heart disease to be extra cautious if they're outside.  They also advise older adults, children, pregnant women and anyone working outdoors is at higher risk of being affected by the wildfire smoke.
