Covid Weddings: I Do or No Thank you?

Planning a wedding is already stressful enough. Planning a wedding during a pandemic? That's a whole new ball game. 😳

I've caught up with friends that had plans on getting married this summer and I feel like these are some of their daily thoughts as a bride/groom:

-"15 or 50 people? One week my wedding party can come, the next....they can't."

- "Do we push it back? Like is September too soon? I can't possibly plan this wedding three times!?"

- "How do I uninvite 200 people to my wedding?"

-"How big does the room have to be for all 15 of us to be in it and all 6ft apart?"

Talk about STRESS-FUL.

To be honest, it straight up sucks that people's big days are up in the air right now and seriously, my heart goes out to all of you!

But if you're having to plan "getting hitched" (even in the middle of a pandemic) you still have options!

1. POSTPONE: Lot's of people are pushing their weddings back - it's hard to say when all of this will pass over so to be safe 2021 is the new 2020. #changethedate

2. ELOPE NOW & PARTY LATER: Have a small wedding ceremony on your original date with close family and friends in attendance. THEN down the road you can throw the BIG original reception and invite everyone! I see a lot of benefits to this option. 1. You save money. 2. You still get to marry the love of your life. 3. You get to wear your dress TWICE. (Check out this local business that helps plan your entire elopement!)

3. ZOOM WEDDING: This is actually a thing and I am so here for it! Set up a camera, send out that group ID, throw everyone on mute (or not and live life on the edge) and say your vows in front of everyone you care about! Toasts can still be given afterwards AND then throw a major zoom wedding party. (BYOB! lol)

If you're getting married, whenever you decide to do it, I hope you have such a special day. And remember anyway you have your big day you get to celebrate with the person that you love, no matter what!😊
