Bears have been the talk of the Foothills recently!
With the combo of more people heading out west before the colder weather hits and the bears not getting a lot to eat this year, it's made for a lot of bear encounters. (Yikes!)
BUT I promise this is a good bear story.
Did you know a national park in Alaska has a fat bear competition?
Yes....a competition amongst the bears of Katmai National Park to see who is the heftiest heading into hibernation.
The official bracket is here! Feast your eyes on this year’s tournament of the titans of tonnage! Who do you think will make it to the finals on Fat Bear Tuesday? Comment with your predictions.

Two thoughts came to mind when I heard about this competition:
1. How fun is this!?
2. Why don't I get a prize for all the weight I put on over the summer? lol.
Fat Bear Week started on Wednesday, (Sept. 29), but you and the kids can still play a long and vote for the bear you want to be titled the "Chunky Champ" of 2021!

They haven't shown all the bears yet but I'm putting my money on Bear 812 with Walker coming in 2nd.
Have fun! =)
