The Town of Okotoks has made a few more changes in their procedures due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Okotoks Town Council will be changing how they meet during this time.

Council is permitted to meet via electronic means as stated in Bylaw 42-17.

This means as of Mar. 23, council will meet with four councillors in the council chamber and three will attend the meeting electronically.

Council meetings will still be live streamed for the public.

Residents are able to submit public hearing and delegation agenda items online by clicking here.

Okotoks Transit is running as usual from Mon.- Sat, 6a.m.- 11:30p.m. but with a few changes.

To lessen the potential risk of spreading the virus, trip windows are being reduced to decrease shared ridership.

The intention is to have one or two bookings on each vehicle at any given time to lessen contact.

Users are also being asked to sit at the back of the transit vehicle.

Enhanced cleaning practices are also in place for the transit service.

Daily demand is being monitored and adjustments will be made to the vehicle supply as deemed necessary to ensure there is sufficient transit service.
