The town of Okotoks has a new grant that will help the arts and culture scene in town.

With the Arts and Culture Activation Grant, the town is hoping to promote arts and culture activity, provide funding for art development and local artists, and encourage visitors to come to town.

This grant will help create new arts and culture events, programs, and activities within Okotoks.

The Culture & Heritage Team Leader Allan Boss stated on the town's website that events help benefit communities in multiple ways.

"There is a mountain of evidence showing that events build both financial and social profit in communities. The goal of this grant is to make Okotoks an even better place to live," Boss explained.

Any resident or social-profit organization who wishes to organize events that will enrich our community are encouraged to apply for a grant.

Applications for the Arts and Culture Activation Grant are now open and under review.
