The 'Magic of High River' has been given the thumbs up for this Saturday (February 10).

It was originally scheduled around the 'Blue Monday' weekend of January 13 and 14 but due to that cold snap, it had to be postponed.

The day of magic along with ice sculptures comes to the Highwood Centre and also along 3rd and 4th Avenues downtown from noon to 5 p.m.

Renowned ice sculptor Scott Harrison from Calgary will be in town as four ice sculptures will be carved in front of Colossi's and also in front of Maggie's Diner.

More magic will be happening indoors at the Highwood Centre.

Residents have shared their stories, photos and videos of what makes High River so special and so magical. They will be on display along with some light refreshments and some finger food.

All are welcome and it's absolutely free thanks to the Town of High River.
