The High River Library is closing for the next few weeks from May 10 to 24.

Head librarian and Director Mary Zazelenchuk says the building needs a little TLC.

"Well, there's going to be maintenance done on the building. The library was built in 1981 and as an older building obviously, there are issues that crop up and that need specialized attention. So, the maintenance means that we just can't have members of the public in the library."

There is some good news as Zazelenchuk explains: curbside pickups are coming back without the pandemic protocols.

"We are offering curbside service which means that you can order things online. We will still get interlibrary loan deliveries. You can still pick up your holds."

Zazelenchuk also asks patrons to return items using the outdoor drop box unless it's something delicate that shouldn't go in the drop box, then please call the library at 403-652-2917 or email them at library@highriverlibrary.ca to make arrangements for when it can be safely dropped off.

And as far as the curbside service goes here are the days and times:
