The Carstar Okotoks Bisons had their winning streak snapped over the weekend.

They went into the weekend with a 17 and 1 record and suffered only their second loss of the season on Saturday night.

The Coaldale Copperheads hosted the Bisons and were able to beat the Herd 4-2, but the Bisons rebounded on Sunday afternoon as they downed the Strathmore Wheatland Kings 3-1.

The Bison still sit in the number one position in the HJHL even after their 13-game winning streak was broken.

The High River Brewing Co. Flyers unfortunately weren't able to grab any points over their two games even though they scored 10 goals over both games.

The visiting Medicine Hat Cubs were able to hold off the Flyers on Friday night with an 8-6 win and then the Flyers headed to Strathmore on Saturday.

The Flyers were unable to beat the Wheatland Kings as the Kings won 6-4.

The Kings are now five points up on the Flyers for last place in the HJHL South division.
