Football and turkey were on many a mind over the Thanksgiving long weekend.
Locally, there were a few turkeys as the Foothills Falcons and the Willow Creek Cobras had the stuffing taken out of them.
The Falcons hosted LCI from Lethbridge and lost 14-9 and dropped from 8th to 9th place in Tier 1 high school football.
The HTA Knights had a bye week and get set to play Notre Dame from Calgary this upcoming weekend as the Falcons get a bye.
And the Willow Creek Cobras were manhandled by W.R. Myers from Taber 49-21. Up next for the Cobras is Cardston.
