Most of us thought we’d go back to normal by the end of summer when we went into that semi-lockdown state in March.

Now, as most of the province moves into the many stages of reopening, many people are waking up to our reality: this is how it'll be for the foreseeable future.

In the charitable sector (employing 10 percent of the full-time workforce in Canada) one in five organizations have either suspended operations or ceased programs as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, and many charities have already closed their doors. Data from the Imagine Canada’s Sector Monitor report.

Here in town, KidSport is one of the charities that took a hit.
Luckily we live in the Foothills and we have people like Christa Lubianesky and Paul Kiet from Okotoks Brazilian Ju-Jitsu!

They got together with Erin over there at Heart to Sole Dance and have organized a fundraiser to support KidSport.

It's all taking place on Aug 29 from 11 am to 2 pm at their location in town 6 Fisher Crescent
All proceeds from the bbq and raffle will go to Kid Sport.
Yes, you saw that correctly... RAFFLE!

When Okotoks comes together for a cause, they COME TOGETHER!

Hope to see you out there!!
