I love culture and heritage. Maybe it's something I picked up from my mother... who happens to be the history nut of the town (it's true mum and it's all love :P) If your childhood was anything like our growing up it was museums and exhibits, ghost tours and spooky tales. Every town on vacation through every province and state! HISTORY ...and I can't get enough.

So when I saw more and more things getting shut down I was a little saddened as I'm sure many of you were as well.
My friend, you are in luck! The Okotoks Art Gallary here, as well as the Museum and archives, have virtual tours up on their Facebook page like this one

You can check that out here!

It's so important to support arts and culture in towns like ours!
Over the last decade, as the Internet and social media have expanded, viewing art and history on our computer screens has become normal.
Now I won't lie... this can be a helpful tool for getting help on homework or a sense of art in the comfort of your home.
BUT
It must be experienced in person to truly see its importance, history, scale, texture, true colour, and intricacies.

When we all get out, check out the arts and culture scene here in town and in the surrounding communities like High River, Nanton, The Dimond Valley and if you haven't yet... VULCAN
Support our local museums and art galleries that survive of public donations and grants (something they aren't getting to much of at the moment)
