This year's Rally 4 Hospice won't look like it has in years past but that doesn't mean the community won't be able to get out and show their support.

The Rally 4 Hospice will be hosted at the High River Sunset Drive-In September 12th, 2020.

Stephanie Barnes of The Foothills Country Hospice Society says it will be a great opportunity for the community to get out and socialize while remaining distant.

"We're doing what we can to comply with all the COVID-19 regulations in regards to outdoor events and so I think we have a plan that is going to work going forward. We are still launching the Rally from the hospice but instead of following up the event with a gala type function we are going to end the night at the High River Sunset Drive-in."

"Not only is it our biggest fundraiser, but it's also something for the community to come together in a safe way, you can stay in your vehicle, everything we do will be socially distant but you can still get that comradery of being out with your peers."

Barnes says they are excited to use the drive in to host the end of the night and will be serving dinner to each vehicle and using the Drive-Ins systems to entertain.

"We are going to serve dinner to your vehicle and then project the live auction onto the drive-in screen, we're also going to have live entertainment projected onto the screen and then show Ford vs Ferrari."

Barnes says COVID has taken a toll on everyone involved at the hospice.

"Our staff are just amazing, it's been really tough during COVID because we've had such strong visitor restrictions, it's been hard on everyone because we feel like we can't give the level of comfort we are normally used to with our residents being allowed only one essential visitor."

The Hospice has also reduced the entry fee for this year's Rally to allow more people to come and help out.

"We've actually reduced the entry fee this year, we know everyone was hit by COVID so we've reduced the price by half."

Barnes says people can register up to the day before the rally.
