RADIOTHON DAY!!!

This was my second year doing the  “Together we make a difference” Radiothon and it feels like it gets easier and ...earlier every year!
Starting right at 5am in the Sobeys front entrance we turned on our Mics and got to work! This year we had our eyes set on 80 thousand dollars... that's 10 thousand for the 8 different organizations we had pledged to help.

Working with us from the trust we had Tanya Thorne, Carol Quinn, and Candice Wyma as well had so many amazing helper and volunteers that helped us all throughout the day!
The Sheep River Health Trust is focused on supporting programs that improve the Health & Wellness of the Foothills residents, from Children’ to Seniors and everything in between.  All donations support local initiatives. We help to facilitate the comprehensive offering of health services in our communities.

The “Together We Can Make A Difference” Radiothon creates awareness and support for programs and initiatives focused on the health and wellness of our children all the way up to seniors. Throughout the day listeners will hear from children, youth, families and program providers about the difference these initiatives have on their lives. In the years since we started, we raised...
$26,137 in 2014
$37,320 in 2015
$54,542 in 2016
$57,863 in 2017
$75,785 in 2018

We set out to fund and support 8 organizations this year including the Okotoks Urg Care, Lit for Life, It Takes a Village, Rowan House, Baby It's Cold Outside, DMG School Playground, SNAPS, and the Rising Sun Long Term Care.

After 14 hours of collecting money and bringing people through the doors of Sobeys Okotoks, we raised a grand total of $67,005!! If you still wanted to help or learn a bit about the trust click HERE

Thank you, Okotoks! See you next year!
