The Nanton Palominos are going for their sixth consecutive championship.

They had to beat the Siksika Buffaloes to do it and they beat them three games to none in their best-of-five semi-final series.

Game three was on Saturday night in Siksika and the Pals skated away with a 4-3 victory.

The Buffaloes scored first at 14:11 of the first period but the Palominos would tie it up late in the period at 2:38 on a by Joshua McCulloch assisted by Taylor McNeil & Bradley Forrest.

The Buffaloes took the lead again early in the second period but the Pals answered right back just over a minute later as Brady Reagan scored to tie it up at 2 going into the final 20 minutes.

The Palominos finally took the lead with a quick goal from Colin MacMurdo who then also netted another midway through the period for a 4-2 lead.

It came right down the wire as the Buffaloes pulled their goalie and they scored on the power play with 52 seconds left in the game.

And the Palominos were able to hang on for the win and the series win.

Next up, the Lethbridge Lightning for the Ranchland Senior AA Men's Championship.

The Palominos are the current holders of the cup and will be looking for their sixth consecutive season.
