Drug and weapons charges have been laid against a man and woman after a traffic stop late in the evening of December 23 in Claresholm.

RCMP say one of the vehicle's occupants had an outstanding warrant for their arrest.

Claresholm RCMP, with the assistance of Nanton RCMP, searched the vehicle and seized what's suspected to be 143 grams of methamphetamine, 39 grams of cocaine, and 15 grams of fentanyl with a total street value of approximately $7500.00.

Robert Thibeault, 41 years of age and Kassanda Villneff have been jointly charged with six criminal charges, including unlawfully possess a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, unauthorized possession of a weapon, and fail to comply with undertaking.

Kassanda Villneff is facing an additional charge of fail to comply with undertaking,

Both are to appear in court on January 21, 2021 in Fort Macleod.
