The Okotoks Outlaws baseball team were recognized by town council on Monday.

They were invited to the meeting after their gold medal win at the Alberta 18U AA Tier I Provincial Championship over the Heritage Day long weekend.

Catcher Spencer Trotter briefed council on their season, the tournament, and the walk-off victory, and answered some questions from council members.

Each member then received a Sports Recognition Award certificate from the town and posed for a photo with council.

Joining them at the meeting were coaches and parents of the team.
