The Okotoks Dawgs are bringing in some star power for the 2022 WCBL All-Star game.

Former Major League star Matt Stairs is being flown in as a special guest for the big game at Seaman's Stadium on July 23.

The Canadian talent, hailing originally from New Brunswick played for 12 different teams in the MLB, winning a World Series with the Philadelphia Phillies in 2008.

He also played for the Montreal Expos and the Toronto Blue Jays.

He also ranks either 1st or 2nd in power-hitting categories for Canadian major league players with 265 career home runs and 899 RBIs.

In 2015 he was elected to the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame.
