Two Okotoks youngsters stopped in at Yooneek Books with a cheque last week.

On Thursday (Oct. 26), brothers Liam and Zac Deplaedt presented a cheque to Rae-Lynne Byerley and her son Kolton.

Kolton was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2022, and in August of this year, he received a terminal diagnosis.

Shortly after that diagnosis, the Byerleys released an update on the GoFundMe page that had been set up for them, saying they'll be spending as much time with Kolton doing the things he loves to do, while balancing the running of the store.

Accordingly, written in the cheque's memo section is "do anything and everything you'd like."

Liam and Zac presented it on behalf of their grandparents, Sue and John Anderson.
