The Okotoks Oilers are headed off to the BCHL Alberta Division semi-finals to face the Brooks Bandits after sweeping the five-game-series with the Spruce Grove Saints, winning game three 5-4.

The Saints would start Okotoks own, Ryan De Kok for a second straight game, but the Oilers would solve De Kok five times in the contest with the game-winner coming from team captain Dean Spak.

Saints would get on the board first with a goal coming 2:28 into the first period. Oilers would answer after Sam Huck danced around in the Saints zone handing it off to Brett Wilson, who then found Jagger Tapper. Tapper would skate behind the Saints net avoiding a couple hits then passing it off to the point where Logan Magowan would take a shot and Wilson would tip-in the Oilers first goal of the game. Christian Green would make 10 saves in the first frame. The first period ended with a 1-1 tie.

The second period is where the goals would start pouring in. Oilers would get their first lead after Jack Silverberg made a nice backhanded pass to a wide-open Jackson Rowland, he would bury the puck in the back of the net to have a lead of 2-1.

Tapper would add to the Oilers lead after getting set up from Connor Gourley and then pulling off a beautiful forehand to backhand deke fooling the Saints netminder and hitting mesh with his third goal of the series. Saints would answer less than 30 seconds later to cut the lead back to just one goal.

Gourley would add a goal of his own after he tipped home a Sam Hall shot from the point giving the Oilers their two goal lead back once again.
