Foothills county council is still trying to decide what to do about a grant for solar panels at the Scott Seaman Rink.

Council decided at its meeting July 5th to look into what it'll take to reinforce the roof structure to be able to hold just over a thousand panels.

Without reinforcement it could only handle about 500.

The county's received a grant of about a million dollars, but the panels have to go on the DeWinton rink complex.

They're hoping to have the information they need by their next meeting August 30th.
