The Nanton Palominos won their sixth consecutive Ranchland Senior Men's AA hockey league championship on Sunday March 27.

And they had to win back-to-back games over the Lethbridge Lightning to do it.

Both teams went into the weekend tied with two wins apiece in their best-of-five series.

The Lightning won in Nanton 2-1 in overtime on Friday night so the Palominos backs were to the wall and in a must win situation.

Well, the Pals galloped away with a 4-2 win on Saturday night in the windy city.

Both teams returned to the ATB Centre East arena on Sunday for the finale.

And it came down to overtime to decide the championship.  Watch the entire game here.

Brady Reagan scored on a shot from the point during a power play for the game winning and series winning goal to defeat the Lightning 3-2 in OT at the 15:42 mark.

The Palominos now must prepare for provincials.
