Both the Foothills School Division and Christ the Redeemer Catholic School Division have cancelled all local bus routes for today.

Drew Chipman, Assistant Superintendent with FSD says it's just too cold.

"We don't want students waiting for buses when it's this cold, and you're bound to have mechanical issues with a number of vehicles."

An extreme cold weather warning is currently in effect across the province.
