Some parts of Alberta's economy have been able to reopen with the Province moving to Step One of the re-launch.

Dr. Deena Hinshaw says there's no move to change the timing for Step Two.

"The current plan is to take each step as it comes, of course we will continue to watch closely and determine if any adjustments need to be made," she says. "I want to make sure that people are very clear that it's not just the hospitalization number that matters, it's also our trends of positive cases, positivity, and it's really important that we collectively continue to keep our positive cases trending downward."

When Step One was announced Premier Jason Kenney set out benchmarks to be met before Step Two would go into effect, at least three weeks after Step One.

Dr. Hinshaw says keeping the numbers headed in the right direction will determine whether we move forward or have to take a step back.
