The Calgary Stampeders are a little over a week away from the start of their 2016 CFL training camp.

One player who likely will be sitting out until about week two of the season is defensive lineman Junior Turner who's still recovering from off-season shoulder surgery.

He says he's recovering well though.

"It's going great. I'm doing well on schedule. I just follow what the training staff has put out. I trust that they'll have me good to go, when I'm ready to go. I'm just looking forward to getting back out on the field with the fellas."

The Stamps rookies, along with President and General Manager John Hufnagel, Coach Dave Dickenson, the Outriders Cheerleaders and even Ralph the Dog will be in High River Saturday, May 28 for a junior camp with local players.
