High River RCMP are hoping for help from the public to solving a disturbing case from last week.

They say on January 12 at about 9:00 a.m. a man was threatened with a knife at the intersection of 12 Avenue and 16 Street by the A-&-W intersection.

The victim was stopped at a red light when two men ran towards his vehicle.

They're described as having darker skin with beards and wearing work type clothes with paint or dry wall splatter on them.

One of the men pulled a knife with a six inch blade from his pocket and held it up at the victim’s open truck window forcing him to drive through a red light to get away.

A van the men were in is described as a 1998-2000 GMC Safari van, grey in colour.
