The High River Half is back.

The half marathon is coming up this Saturday and they're bringing back the pancake breakfast hosted by the High River Lions Club.

It's also a fundraiser for the non-profit local organization FAIM - Foothills Advocacy in Motion.

Ron Abramson is a key organizer of the event.

"The thing that attracts people to this run are twofold. One, the support of FAIM is huge, and second, it's a real family event and the track is fast. It's High River so it's flat for the most part."

It's not just a half marathon either as there's also a 10 km, 5 km and a kid's fun run around George Lane Park.

It all gets underway at George Lane Park in downtown High River.

"The half marathon starts at 9 a.m. and the 5 and 10k start at 10. And the kids run one loop around the park which is just about 6/10ths of a kilometre at 9:30."

The cost to register is $30.00 and you can find the link here.
