High River council holds its last meeting of the year, and only meeting this month, Monday December 14.

Council is expected to pass a Capital budget in the $28-million range.

It’s considered revenue neutral and does not include any increases for utilities.

It also includes a wage freeze and no increase in utility rates.

It also includes over $750,000 in community group funding and another $155,000 for new initiatives.

Councilors could also give third and final reading to the much discussed Good Neighbour Bylaw.

It covers things like snow clearing, noise and graffiti.

It’s the final budget for this council, since a new council will be in place after the municipal election next October.

The meeting starts at 3 o’clock Monday afternoon via ZOOM.
